We ordered the kit because of the reviews already on the Maia Baby website. That is genuinely why we went with it. Other people had been in the same position as us and said it had worked for them.
Using it at home made the whole process stress free and, somewhat, more fun, rather than the science it can take to make a baby for a lesbian couple. We could be completely comfortable in our own home, and our donor could come round at a time that suited all of us.
The ovulation tracker and the ovulation and pregnancy strips all played their part. We were complete newbies and they taught us a lot about the process, and what to do and what not to do.
We got pregnant on the third try. I know that is unbelievably quick and my wife and I are very lucky. Our baby is due in January 2027.
Making our baby in our home, which is already full of love, honestly does not get more special than that. We are so grateful and so excited for what is to come.
