We created Maia Baby after walking this path ourselves — through the hope, the heartbreak, and the long, quiet waiting.

As NHS workers, we knew the clinical side. But in the moments that mattered most, what we really needed was care that felt human. We weren’t ready for another round of IVF, we needed some time to decompress. But we still wanted to continue trying at home effectively.

That's when we looked at home insemination. We sifted through a minefield of information, questionable devices, inadequate kits, confusing instructions, wasted money and found no emotional support.

So we made what we wished we’d had back then — something clear, kind, and truly supportive.

Waiting for our next round we considered home insemination. Unfortunately, the choice was poor, ranging from very expensive kits with only one applicator per cycle, to ones claiming to be an insemination kit, but was nothing more than a medicine syringe and a speculum. With vague instructions and no support we thought - there must be something better!

We realised how overwhelming the trying to conceive journey can be — all the waiting, the hoping, the what-ifs.

That’s when maia baby was born.
